Event Info

Summary and Key Details

This is an outdoor event through the evening in a historic park. Please wear attire that is comfortable and capable of navigating semi-rough terrain. In recent years, the Labor Day weekend has been relatively hot during the day, cooling down to a comfortably warm evening time where jackets are not required.

Expect to arrive by 5:00 PM for ceremony start. The ceremony will take place by the Deer Park train station, and thus you will have the option to board a historic narrow gauge train to reach the ceremony. Please note this will be the only time you will be able to ride the train!

Trains will depart from the station at 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Please arrive 5 min earlier for an on-time departure.

Attire Guidelines

This wedding is outdoors and not all surfaces will be paved.
High heels are strongly discouraged.
👠✂️🥿

Summer semi-formal to formal is recommended, however it will likely be warm. Please dress accordingly based on the weather (which we will post here as we get closer).

Ceremony Information

Please arrive to the park between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Ceremony will start at 5:30 PM, but there is a bit of a walk to the ceremony from the parking lot. Signage and attendants will direct you to the ceremony.

You may arrive as early at 4:30 PM to mingle or ride the train (see below). Pre-ceremony refreshments will be provided.

Train Departures

You have the option to ride a narrow gauge railroad from the parking lot to the ceremony! Please note this is a one-way trip, you'll have to walk back to your car after ☹️.

Trains will depart from the station at 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Please arrive 5 min earlier for an on-time departure.

The first train will take guests through the full ride experience, which is approximately 25 minutes long. The second ride is abbreviated and will be approximately 10 minutes long.

If you really want, you can stay on the train and ride twice.

Reception Information

Buffet dinner with open bar, serving beer and wine selected by the couple. Cocktail hour to preceed with hors d'ouvres. This is also your chance to walk around and see the farm animals!

Buffet Menu to include:
  • Spinach Salad

  • Potatoes au Gratin Dauphinois
  • Wild Rice Pilaf
  • Seasonal Vegtables
  • Probably some bread idk

Current Weather Outlook

Weather is an important part of the outdoor wedding experience. Labor day is traditionally very hot. Luckily, our venue is by the Bay which provides much needed cooling. The current outlook shows a very unseasonably chilly day.

Final Details

You will have the opportunity during cocktail hour to explore the farm and see the animals. We have chickens, goats, sheep, and cows. Sometimes we have pigs, idk now. There's also peacocks if you're interested (you know who you are). Please do not feed the animals. They get fed twice daily. Some of them even get walked like a pet, it's craycray.

COVID-19 Guidance

COVID is BACK BABY. If you are traveling, we would greatly appreciate it if you tested prior to your arrival. Should an unfortunate circumstance occur, or if you feel unwell in general, please refrain from attending for the health and safety of others. Do not worry as we promise we will come visit you in the near future to make up for it.

Dancing is required. Requests will be accepted.
