Our Story
Nick and Lauren are marching band nerds who met at Cal Poly in SLO in 2015 (Nick plays alto saxophone and Lauren plays trumpet).
We became really good friends over the years and in 2018 started dating ("finally!" - everyone). We made long distance between the Bay and San Luis Obispo work for almost 2 years after Nick graduated while Lauren finished her undergrad and masters degrees at Cal Poly. In the beginning of the pandemic, we moved in together into an apartment in Dublin. We made it through and bought a house together in Livermore in 2022.
Nick popped the question November 11, 2023, at Big Trees State Park, which is fitting as camping and hiking have been a core part of our relationship.
Our favorite activities to do together are hiking, camping, cooking, eating, drawing little cartoons for each other and leaving them for the other person to find, and sending each other funny videos (this one is the first text Lauren sent Nick, and lemme tell ya: “Hook, Line, and Sinker” amiright). (Hi, Nick here. Lauren has no idea what this song is from).
We also have been enjoying renovating our house with the help of our family and friends (though depending on when you ask us we may not use the word “enjoying”). We have completed a primary bath renovation, are nearing the end of our kitchen renovation (“I just have to do the doors” -Lauren, daily), and Nick is almost single-handedly renovating the backyard, with important soil engineering input from Lauren.
We are so excited to welcome you to share in the joy of our wedding day. Thank you for being a support in our lives!
And, as always:
